Crapy app not working

So got this for Christmas 2017, charged it that day and have data from dec 25-31, as of Jan 2018 it stopped recoding and tracking via the app. I have surpassed my goals that I set on the app. But it will keep any records. Very disappointed thinking about returning product due to these app problems. Need to contact amazon to see what I can do.
